Steven Fondacaro

Inclusion Program dIRECTOR

Steve has been a Special Education Teacher for 10 years. During the year, Steve works for the Department of Education in the Bronx where he teaches in an integrated co-teaching classroom. Prior to Steve’s transition to the Bronx he worked at the Children's Village located in Dobbs Ferry, NY, a residential treatment facility for children with emotional and behavioral needs.  Steve received his Master’s Degree from St. Thomas Aquinas College where he focused on special education, specializing in autism spectrum disorders. Steve joined the Camp Twelve Trails team in 2016 and previously worked for the JCC Country Day Camp for 4 years. As the Director of the Inclusion Program of Camp Twelve Trails, he will ensure that each camper’s experience will be memorable and will have an impact on their social and emotional development.

Elizabeth Carmen

lEVEL 1 Coordinator

Elizabeth has worked with both children and adults with special needs in multiple settings over the past ten years. She received her Master’s Degree from Teacher’s College, Columbia University where she focused on education, health, and psychological issues. She has been working for the past four years as a therapist, treating adults and children with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, ADHD, and other issues. Elizabeth is excited to be working with children again in a camp setting. 

Tracey Wiener

LEVEL 2 Coordinator 

Tracey joined the Twelve Trails team in 2016 previously working with us through the JCC Country Day Camp. Tracey brings a plethora of knowledge having worked with children with special needs for many years. During the year she is a Early Childhood teacher at the Shames JCC on the Hudson as well as a supervisor in the Super Sunday Program which promotes social skills to children with developmental disabilities. In 2017 Tracey became the Level 2 Coordinator for our Inclusion program at Camp.
